TIMELIGHT Beyond Our Ticking World

The world keeps ticking. For half an hour, you get to step outside it.

TIMELIGHT, Beyond Our Ticking World, is a TSC Originals experience, created with ILA in Adelaide and premiered there as a world exclusive. It invites everyone, of every age, to stop measuring time and start feeling it. Move, touch, play, and the screens answer: time bends, stretches, and grows around you.

What we built

It begins in the ILA Studio, surrounded by over 100 square metres of floor-to-ceiling LED and more than 12.5 million pixels, where movement, sound and touch unlock the whole world. The journey runs in three chapters: time as a universal force, all glowing spheres and streaming light; time as a human structure, inside a giant clock of ticking gears and ahigh-energy game of order and chaos; and time in nature, slowed to a meditative close where trees grow at the touch of a fingertip. It then opens into the ILAGallery, where visitors pause, reflect on what time means to them, and add to a collective artwork that keeps growing across the season. The world premiere ran at ILA, Adelaide, from 26 September to 26 October 2025.

The challenge

Take something as abstract as time, a thing nobody can hold, and make it playable: something a visitor of any age can move through, touch, and feel, not just watch.
