Revolution Earth
Climate education you play, not endure.
Since December 2023, Revolution Earth has welcomed families at the Discovery Museum in Kerkrade. It treats the climate crisis not as a lecture but as a place you enter, play through, and leave changed. An experience for teenagers and the adults beside them, built on one idea: the right choices are still within reach today.
What we built
Visitors move through the three industrial revolutions on projected canvases, then meet four teenagers living 70 years into a future that went wrong. In the Earth Theatre, a 12-meter round well projects a film of the planet as it is now, zooming in on the damage. Then three games hand the future back to the room. Every choice reshapes the landscape overhead, and a tree of light at the centre pulses in response, brighter the more people work together. It ends in a mirrored infinity room, with a spoken-word film by Justin Samgar and the quiet point underneath all of it: change is still ours to make.
The challenge
Make the climate crisis something a family can act on, not just worry about. Teach without lecturing. Warn without leaving anyone hopeless.
“You do not lecture a kid into caring about the planet. You hand them the controls and let them feel what changes.”
