Hyundai Motorstudio Hanam
Start with a hydrogen molecule. End with a feeling.
Start with a hydrogen molecule. End with a feeling.
The Hyundai Motorstudio Hanam sits inside a busy Seoul shopping centre, and we built it as an oasis: somewhere to slow down and feel something before you understand it. The journey follows the four elements of Hyundai’s fuel cell technology: sun, water, energy and air.

What we built
A journey through four elements. Sun, morning light in slow gradients, warm before it’s visual. Water, slow-motion droplets hanging without gravity, filling shapes cut to the exact geometry of the room. Energy, hydrogen and oxygen meeting in the fuel stack, power made visible as an event rather than a chart. Air, clean air as the picture of what comes next. The LED covers the space completely, and every frame was produced for this one room, pixel by pixel, wall by wall.
The challenge
Fuel cell technology is abstract, technical and easy to glaze over. The brief was to make a visitor who knows nothing about it care anyway, inside a shopping centre full of distractions, and without a single diagram.
“Hanam allows us to communicate directly with our customers about future technologies and research results.”
