Introduction
How do you foster meaningful connections between over 1,000 technology leaders while staying true to your brand’s values and minimizing environmental impact?
As a follow-up to 2024’s groundbreaking zero-waste Envision AI Connection, Microsoft set the bar high. The goal was to bring together global experts, partners, and changemakers in a space that celebrated innovation, partnership, and sustainability. This all had to be achieved without compromising on experience or engagement.
Challenges
Microsoft needed more than just a venue. They required a concept that could support diverse interactions and layered conversations, while maintaining a strong brand presence and a resource-efficient footprint.
The guest list included government officials, developers, corporate leaders, and start-up founders. The environment had to balance inspiration with function. Hosting over 1,000 attendees at once presented a major logistical and experiential challenge. Creating space for authentic interaction, comfort, and clear communication, all within a low-waste, high-impact framework, added another level of complexity.
Solution
TSC took on the challenge by transforming Cologne’s CONFEX venue into a vibrant and flexible space designed for connection. A mixture of lounges, partner booths, and dynamic catering stations created a natural flow that encouraged guests to explore, interact, and engage on their own terms.
To manage multiple content streams within a shared environment, we integrated state-of-the-art silent conferencing systems. This approach allowed attendees to access focused content while remaining immersed in the lively event atmosphere.
The setup supported spontaneous conversations, deep-dive learning, and strategic networking. Every aspect of the event aligned with Microsoft’s goals for sustainability, innovation, and authentic engagement.
