Introduction
How do you create a high-tech hub that supports both live events and internal communications? Thales converted its Escher Room into a state-of-the-art hybrid presentation studio. This space empowers an audience of 50+ with immersive experiences, polished broadcasts, and seamless live‑streaming.
Challenges
Thales set out to build an environment that inspires employees while making hybrid presentations intuitive and engaging. The space needed to support town hall meetings, online webinars, and on‑demand content production, all from within the shared facility. It had to combine broadcast-grade production with easy usability, and support self‑sufficient video recording and streaming functionality.
Solution
TSC integrated the immersive presentation studio into Thales’s Shared Facility Centre. The system includes:
A high-resolution 7.7‑megapixel panoramic projection screen with advanced warping and blending
Media server and networked AV setup under tablet control via iXfinity Launcher
State‑of‑the‑art audio systems, lighting rigs, and multi‑camera recording equipment
Built‑in Microsoft Teams integration for hybrid or remote participation
Results
This hybrid studio provides Thales with a fully immersive, branded space for live events, webinars, and recorded presentations. Town halls now broadcast in HD, while teams can produce internal video content on demand. With simple tablet-based controls, staff can manage high-end production workflows without specialist technical skills.
