Introduction
How do you redefine vocational education with immersive technology? Het Graafschap College tasked The Storytelling Company with creating an environment that turns passive learning into active, immersive discovery. The result is a versatile training space built for modern learners.
Challenges
The brief was clear but ambitious: design a learning environment that goes beyond traditional education and engages students with real-world, hands-on tech. It had to support group training, webinars, and interactive content creation, all in one space that is intuitive enough for everyday use.
Solution
TSC transformed a 5 × 5 m room into a powerful immersive classroom:
Multi-touch, laser-driven projection systems on three walls deliver full 360-degree interactivity
Students can create and manage their own content using the Hotspot Manager software
A tablet-based launcher gives teachers control over the experience without technical complexity
Hybrid learning is fully supported through an integrated Microsoft Teams Room setup
This space encourages participation and exploration, allowing learners to engage with vocational content in a way that feels dynamic and relevant.
Results
The immersive room empowered learners by giving them control over their own learning environment. Teachers found it easy to run engaging sessions. Students gained practical experience in a cutting-edge setting that mirrors real-world demands.
